The Woodhall Spa Cottage Museum, like so many other heritage and leisure organisations, is not able to open its doors on 4th April. As soon as the decision to allow the population to go out and about again, we hope to welcome you to the home of John Wield and the story of how the Spa developed and became the attractive village it is.
The Museum’s lottery, the 150 club, is fully subscribed and we hope to spread some cheer to three people each month when we draw the numbers. So far, we have distributed prize money for the three months of February, March and April.
We are fortunate that many of our Friends continue to support the Museum and are re-subscribing this year. The March newsletter has been distributed to all individuals and families. Many of our advertisers have their copies too, and those that are closed will receive them when their doors open.
The coffee morning in February to recruit new volunteers to join the board of directors or help in other ways was successful. A new director to the board has been appointed and another supporter who has shown interest will be invited to the next board meeting when it is a face-to-face one.
The Museum will also benefit from the Lincolnshire Co-op Community Champion initiative. From 8th March until 6th June dividends on purchases from customers at the Woodhall Spa branch will be price matched. We therefore urge our supporters to do their shopping at this local branch.
Keep well and stay safe.
