A SUPPORT leaflet and dedicated website for residents in East Lindsey have been produced by East Lindsey District Council in partnership with Magna Vitae as part of the response to COVID 19.
The website, created in partnership and hosted by Magna Vitae, contains information about looking after ourselves and each other. The website provides a vast range of information and support on issues that could be affecting people at this difficult time including financial advice and support on Council Tax, rent and mortgage payments, prescription collection support, access to essential supplies, information on essential supply access, help for clinically vulnerable residents.
In order to help pass the time during lockdown the platform also provides a number of exciting, innovative, interactive links to entertainment and exercise incorporating quizzes, word searches, crosswords, national curriculum learning, live streaming from around the world and how to keep active at home with a wide range of exercise videos & good health information @ TV.FIT.
The website is now live and is designed to make it as easy as possible to navigate to enable users to find the support they need. The leaflet has been produced alongside the website to ensure residents who don’t have internet access are still able to access key information. This will be delivered to all homes in East Lindsey over the coming days.
Portfolio Holder for Communities, Councillor Wendy Bowkett, said: “The impact on CV19 is huge on our communities and its important people know where they can turn to access support. Many of those affected have never needed to access this type of support before so we needed to communicate what’s available clearly.”
Mark Humphreys, Chief Executive of Magna Vitae, said: “We are proud to be working alongside East Lindsey District Council to help provide a service to the residents within our communities during this unprecedented time. This work will continue to develop over the coming months to provide up to date information. It is important that we come together and offer guidance, advice and support to everyone who needs it within East Lindsey.”
The website can be accessed by visiting www.magnavitae.org/inthistogether/ and the leaflet will be sent to homes in the District towards the end of April.
